Battle of the Classes Super 80 -
6-foot-4 SG Remy Smith attends Desert Mountain. Smith is noted usually as a shooting specialist from range. He showed that plus the ability to break down his man and score from 18-feet. He has a strong left to right crossover to free himself from his defender and rise up and fire. He used that move effectively at the event. He then sets up his man with a shot fake to drive to the basket. He also has a high IQ to pass to the open man and he can be used as a secondary option to run a team in spots. He defends well and will be a breakout player for DM his senior year.

"Remy Smith 6-foot-4 SG (Arizona Power White) who attends Scottsdale Desert Mountain. Smith arguably has the best shot in the state. He squares to the basket and rises up flawlessly like you would be watching a video of how to shoot. He also is a very underrated athlete and has an extremely high basketball IQ. He takes high percentage shots and is always making the extra pass for his teammates. His defense is sturdy."

Anthony Ray ArizonaPreps.com

"Remy Smith is one of the best and purest shooters of the basketball in the state, regardless of class. His jump shot is consistent and has very nice range out past three-point distance. Where Smith has really developed over the past year is in his ability to take big shots, and the confidence that comes with taking a key shot in a game.  Smith is a solid defender that competes hard on the floor.
Smith is also a good ball handler and passer that plays very unselfishly, and has a very good overall feel for the game."

Remy Smith - Desert Mountain adds Junior transfer from Horizon that is a freakish athlete with mad hops.

Arizona Preps - Anthony Ray

"Remy Smith is one of the better shooters in his class who has some bounce and a good feel for basketball. He is one of the elite catch-and–shoot type of players with a fast trigger. He can shoot it from deep or mid-range. It also seems like he will never miss a shot, since his form is flawless. He squares up to the basket and has his hand under the ball perfectly every time. He also can find the open man with his high IQ and court awareness. Sometimes you feel he should shoot more at times, but he is an unselfish player trying to do the right thing."
